About Block Bogey

Block Bogey is a free online falling block puzzle game where colourful shapes fall into a ten-column playing area. Move and rotate each piece to build complete horizontal rows and clear them from the board.

The aim is to keep the blocks from reaching the top while clearing as many lines as possible. Careful placement becomes increasingly important as the game gets faster.

Block Bogey Rules

• Falling pieces can be moved left or right while they descend.
• Rotate pieces to fit them into available spaces.
• Complete an entire horizontal row to clear that line.
• Clearing multiple lines with one piece awards more points.
• Every 10 completed lines increases your level.
• Higher levels make the blocks fall faster.
• The ghost piece shows where the current block will land.
• Use HOLD to save a piece for later and swap it with another piece.
• A held piece can only be swapped once before the current piece is placed.
• The game ends when a new piece can no longer enter the playing area.

Scoring

Clearing one line awards points, while clearing two, three or four lines at once earns a larger reward. Points are multiplied by the current level. Manually dropping pieces can also add extra points to your score.

Next Piece and Hold

The Next window previews the upcoming piece so you can plan ahead. The Hold feature lets you store the current piece and bring it back later.

Controls

Desktop players can use the Left and Right Arrow Keys to move, Up Arrow to rotate, Down Arrow for a soft drop, Space for a hard drop, C to hold and P to pause.

On phones and tablets, use the on-screen controls underneath the game board.
